What is an estimelee?
An estimelee is an estimation contest. Teams answer questions by guessing a range: a lower bound and an upper bound, rather than one exact number.
A facilitator creates the questions and opens the contest. Teams choose which questions to answer, and a live leaderboard shows how everyone is doing.
- Each team gets up to three guesses per question. Its lowest score counts.
- Lower scores are better. Question scores are added together to rank teams.
- Better scores balance confidence (a smaller range) and accuracy (a range that contains or is close to the true answer).
- Scores are capped at 100; unanswered questions also receive 100.
- A green score cell means at least one guess contains the true answer.
